As winter approaches, sun-kissed looks are likely to fade but we believe you can still keep the warmth of summer around by choosing the right hair colour to get you through the colder months.
Timeless winter hair colours generally mimic the colours we see around us and the comfort foods we reach for – we’re not talking about the grey skies or clouds, although that can also be an option.
Think about the changes to the colour of trees and fallen leaves that occur. The red, brown and pumpkin spice orange hues, and the lowlight yellow-coloured leaves.
These remain some of the trendiest hair colours for Winter 2021-22 and celebrities have styled their hair with fine lowlights, butterfly balayage and multi-toned colours.
You don’t need to look further than Gigi Hadid, Zendaya, Hailey Bieber, J.Lo, Rhianna, Sofia Richie or Khloe Kardashian. But the list is long and goes on!
Our clients are already coming in for their autumn refresh and our go to colours have been bronde, brunette and copper. These colours are versatile and suit a lot of different skin tones and hair types and colours without the need for drastic changes or several trips to the hairdresser.
They are likely to be low maintenance but strong on catching people’s attention.
Let’s have a closer look.

1. Bronde
Bronde is the mix between blonde and brown hair and is ideal if you have naturally light hair.
We recommend this shade for those with naturally light-coloured hair during winter because it is a warmer tone that adds a lot of colour to the face, without a big change to your natural hair colour that requires multiple trips to the hairdresser. It’s a low maintenance colour that can help improve any damage done to the hair during the lightening processes in summer.

2. Brunette
Anyone with brown hair is considered a brunette.
It’s a super popular shade for winter because it adds a touch of warmth and there is a wide range of colours that make up the brunette palette. The result is usually hair that looks fuller and has a lot of dimension when styled correctly with some cooler undertones.
It’s always a great look for winter and we’ve seen it’s resurgence in recent years.

3. Copper
If you haven’t noticed, let us tell you - the red hair hues are back.
I think we have all been tempted at one point or another in our lives to opt for the red hair colour but hesitated and didn’t go through with it. There are so many blends to choose from within this colour scheme and your hairdresser can help you choose what’s right for you.
After two years of Covid-19 related lockdowns, it’s time to get a bit wild this winter. These hues are perfect for the colder seasons and give the appearance of more youthful skin.
