Hair Care Is Self Care ✨Looking For A Sign? This Is It.
Dear Diary,
It’s week ‘we-have-no-idea’ in lockdown and we’re officially going a bit crazy.
Board games have been played, walks have been done, and we’ve successfully made our way through all of the Harry Potter films (number one will forever be the best, don’t @ us)...
Hands up if you can relate? 🙋♀️ If you too are running out of things to do in lockdown we’re here to save the day with a self-care routine your hair, your sanity and your chill will thank us for.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Christophe Robin Moisturising Lavender Oil
Sea salt scrub
Christophe Robin Aloe Vera Mask or Christophe Robin Prickly Pear Mask*
And here’s what you need to do:
Apply lavender oil to hair from scalp to roots and leave for 10 minutes
Rinse and exfoliate the scalp using sea salt scrub
Apply your chosen hair mask from roots to scalp
Make yourself a herbal tea
Put on a face mask
Read a book, listen to some music, watch your favourite show, do a meditation… basically pick an activity and zen out while you let the mask work its magic.
Don’t forget to rinse your treatment once you’re finished
et voila! Hair care ✔️ Self-care ✔️ Lockdown activity✔️
*Don’t have an extra bill to drop on a fancy-schmancy hair mask? We’ve rounded up a selection of DIY hair masks you can make with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.
Lockdown DIY The Salon Edit Way
Egg Mask
Ingredients
1 Egg yolk, 1 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp olive oil
How to
Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
Apply to hair from scalp to ends and leave for 1 hour.
Pros
Beautiful, shiny, healthy hair.
Cons
Eggs aren’t the nicest smelling ingredient so you will need to wash your hair fully afterwards.
Avocado Mask
Ingredients. 2 ripe avocados. Yep, that’s it.
How to. Mash avocados in a bowl. Massage the mixture into damp hair and top with a shower cap. Leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes then rinse and wash your hair as usual.
Pros. A game changer for frizzy hair.
Cons. A waste of good avocados. Not good with corn chips.
